What is the RELX Artisan?

The Artisan is RELX’s design-led device. It takes the same pods as the rest of the Pro series and wraps the body in materials you do not usually see on a vape: leather, denim-style fabric and textured metal. It is aimed at people who carry their device every day and want it to look like an accessory rather than a gadget.

One thing to know: if you put a Pod Pro 2 in the Artisan, it works at the device’s fixed power. The Eco, Smooth and Boost modes only exist on the Infinity 2.

How to use the RELX Artisan

1. Charge it fully before the first use.
2. Take a new pod out of its pack and remove both silicone plugs.
3. Push the pod into the top until it clicks into place.
4. Inhale gently for two to three seconds. The light comes on while it fires.
5. Let a new pod sit for a minute after inserting it so the cotton is fully soaked. This helps avoid a dry first puff.

Common problems and quick fixes

• Light flashes and it does not fire: usually low battery. Charge it. If the pod is new, take it out and push it back in firmly.
• Weak or burnt taste: the pod is nearly empty, or you are taking very long puffs. Replace the pod and take shorter draws.
• Gurgling or a little liquid in the mouthpiece: remove the pod, tap it gently on a tissue and dry the contacts.

Looking after the finish

Leather and fabric editions do not like liquids, perfume or hand sanitizer, which can stain or dry them out. Wipe them with a dry cloth. Metal editions pick up fingerprints, so a microfiber cloth keeps them clean. Avoid leaving any edition on a car dashboard in the UAE sun.
